Through The Marketing Lens
How Our Kids See Being An Entrepreneur
Show Notes

This week on Through The Marketing Lens, we will be going back to an episode that originally aired at the end of 2020, in which I interviewed my 9-year-old daughter. I get her perspective on having a mompreneur, how she sees things, and what she has learned by watching me.

This is a completely unscripted, mom-daughter conversation about being an entrepreneur. Understanding what having a business is to a kid is very different than it is to adults (and parents), and I wanted to let her join me for a real interview. This is one of my most listened to episodes, and one that is so dear to my heart, so I’m excited to bring it back this week.

We talk about:

  • mom guilt
  • her idea of what I do in my business
  • how she decided to start a business -- for REAL
  • what my daughter wishes I did less of
  • what she’s learned from watching me work

This episode is about giving my daughter a voice in this journey. I want her to know how much she matters to me -- and it is ultimately my greatest joy to see her following in her own dreams. She will tell you all about it!
